Club Car 1995
|
| The Prussian state railroads used four different types of cattle cars: open cars with high sides (species ORDINANCE and/or Ovw), ventilated covered cars (Vn and/or Gvwh), covered cars for the transport of racing and riding horses (Vnfw and/or Gvwh), and covered cars with two floors and slat walls with air columns for the transport of small livestock. The latter proved to be the most durable type. It was used in all of the German Regional Railroads and was built in all eras. They were still used after the second World War by the Federal Railways. Between 1960 and 1961, these cars were rebuilt as part of the reconstruction program. Meanwhile, trucks began hauling small livestock, and these cars were ultimately decommissioned. Our club car 1995 is a private car of this type, owned by the firm "Richard Snaga Hanover". |
